BCTP Info-Stand in the Mediterranean Business Partneria

(The first match-making event in Anatolia, The Mediterranean Business Partneria (www.mbp2008.com) was held on 15-16 May 2008, in Expo Center of Antalya, the famous tourism city in Southern Turkey.

The MBP which had the support from the many Turkish Trade Support Institutions such as Turkish International Cooperation Agency-TIKA, Small and Medium Industry Development Organization-KOSGEB, Foreign Economic Relations Board-DEIK, Turkish Exporters Assembly, Economic Development Foundation, Antalya Manufacturers and Businessmen Association, World Trade Center İstanbul and İGEME, was organized by an private company named TURSET.

The main objective of MBP was to create the new international business chances for companies and to establish long term economic cooperation. As Turkey well situated both geographically and culturally at the crossroads between Europe, Asia and Africa, so the Mediterranean Business Partenariat aimed to create an economical bridging function that Turkish companies could offer and would create many inspiring partnerships.

The event gave the opportunity to meet executives, importers, exporters, suppliers of raw materials, entrepreneurs and investors without and intermediary. Within the close cooperation with the embassies and business organisations from over 40 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North Africa, the companies and delegations from the sectors such as: construction, yachts, hotel / house equipments, marine tourism trade and logistics, electrical devises, food, agriculture and agricultural equipments, textile, leather and shoes, chemistry and plastic industry and jewellery, were participated in the event.

IGEME was represented with an info-stand and hosted the colleagues from the Bulgarian and Serbian BCTP Counterpart Organizations (BDMEPA and SIEPA).)
