THE 10TH EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING OF BCTP HELD IN BELGRADE

The 10th Executive Committee Meeting of Balkan Regional Center for Trade Promotion-BCTP, was held on January 24, 2008 in Belgrade under the organization of Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency-SIEPA as the Chairman of BCTP for the year 2008.

The Permanent Secretariat of BCTP, Export Promotion Center of Turkey-İGEME, the host Organization of the Meeting, SIEPA and the representatives from BCTP Counterpart Organizations of Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro and Romania participated in the Meeting to draw up the 2008 activity program of the Center.

The evaluation of 2007 BCTP activities, the presentations on the activities of BCTP Counterpart Organizations, the working program for 2008 and the new targets for BCTP were the main topics of the 10th Executive Committee Meeting.
The year 2008 has also a special meaning for BCTP being the 10th anniversary of its establishment. With that in mind, all participants of the 10th Executive Committee Meeting made a consensus on the below mentioned BCTP activities for 2008.
-          The BCTP info-stand participations to the international fairs will be realized in Turkey/İstanbul, Greece/Thessaloniki, Romania/Bucharest, Serbia/Belgrade.
-          Volunteer BCTP Counterpart Organizations will exchange experts and organize familiarization visits/on the job training programs for BCTP staff.
-          For the 10th anniversary of BCTP establishment, one special issue of Balkan Trade Bulletin will be published in 2008.
-          It was generally accepted to give support and contribution to the activities of Association of Balkan Chambers-ABC in 2008.
-          IGEME will organize a BCTP buyer/seller mission in cooperation with Union of Chambers of Commerce of Turkey-TOBB, the ABC Chairman for the year 2008.
-          All BCTP Counterpart Organizations will give special attention to exchange the trade information of their countries regularly.
-          Related organizations from Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina will be invited to the next Executive Committee Meeting by the BCTP Permanent Secretariat.
Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency-BSMEPA is selected to hold the Chairmanship for 2009 and venue for the 11th Executive Committee Meeting will be in Sofia.
